Nurse.org Is Hiring! Short-Form Video Creator (Nursing Student Focused) – Contract, Part-Time

We’re hiring a nursing student, or new-grad nurse, to create short-form videos, with TikTok as the primary platform for testing, speed, and growth.

This role is about high-engagement, entertaining, native video — not polished production and not traditional social media management. TikTok is a major growth priority for us this year, and we’re looking for someone who deeply understands nursing student culture, lives inside short-form video, and can move fast when nurse news breaks.

This role reports directly to Nurse.org’s Sr. Director of Marketing, Social and Community, and is a contract, with the opportunity to grow based on performance and impact.

What You’ll Do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create at least 1 short-form videos per week 
  • Produce scroll-stopping, native, engaging video content 
  • Stay on top of TikTok trends, features, and updates (including Stories, new formats, and TikTok Creator Insights)
  • Edit videos using CapCut, TikTok’s native editor, or similar tools
    (text overlays, pacing, cuts, b-roll, sound, effects)
  • Collaborate with other nursing student creators (duets, stitches, collaborative videos

AI & Emerging Tools

  • Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to improve speed, creativity, or efficiency
  • Willing to test new or emerging AI video, editing, captioning, or ideation tools
  • Curious and adaptable as tools and platforms evolve

Secondary / Optional

  • Light engagement if it supports content performance or frees up time to create
  • Sharing trends, formats, or ideas with the broader team

What You Will Not Be Responsible For

  • Community management or comment moderation
  • Posting to Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts (handled by other team members)
  • Heavy analytics or reporting decks
  • Graphic design or polished brand production
  • Content calendars or long-term planning strategy

Who You Are

Required

  • Nursing student or nurse-focused creator with a strong understanding of nursing student culture
  • Proven experience growing a TikTok or Instagram account (personal or brand)
  • Comfortable on camera and reacting quickly to articles
  • Strong short-form video editing skills (not just talking-head videos)
  • Deep familiarity with TikTok trends, formats, and creator culture
  • Comfortable testing new tools, including AI
  • Able to work independently and move fast without heavy oversight or guidance

Nice to Have

  • Existing network of nursing student creators
  • Experience with duets, stitches, and collaborations
  • Familiarity with nursing or healthcare news cycles
  • Prior experience using AI tools for video creation or editing
