Charity partner revealed for Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2024

A charity that raises the funds to establish new nurse specialists to support and improve care for seriously ill children has been chosen as the partner for our annual celebration of the best of nursing workforce initiatives.

Each year, the Nursing Times Workforce Awards shines a light on those excelling in nurse recruitment and retention, wellbeing and inclusion, plus many other areas linked to helping overcome the ongoing workforce challenge in health and social care.

“We are truly humbled by the work of all nurses”

In line with those ambitions, we can reveal that Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity will be our charity partner for the 2024 Nursing Times Workforce Awards.

The charity provides nurse specialists and support for seriously ill children. There are currently over 150 Roald Dahl Nurses caring for more than 36,000 seriously ill children across the UK.

Roald Dahl Nurses are trained and dedicated specialists who help families by providing coordinated, dedicated, and holistic care.

They are a consistent presence in the child’s life from initial diagnosis through to transition to adult services. In addition to care and advice, they provide reassurance in times of uncertainty.

With a total of 18 categories this year, we’ll be rewarding the individuals, teams and organisations that go above and beyond and set new standards of excellence in their field.

Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for the 2024 Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards. They are NHS Professionals, OET, NHS England, People Alchemy, RLDatix, Workforce Alliance and Restworks.
