Community provider appoints director of nursing
A community healthcare provider in Nottingham has appointed a new director of nursing.
Judith Douglas has been made permanent director of nursing, allied health professionals and quality at Nottingham CityCare Partnership, having served in the role on an interim basis since November 2023.

The social enterprise is the biggest provider of community healthcare in Nottingham and delivers services for the NHS.
Commenting on her latest appointment, Ms Douglas said: “I am absolutely delighted to continue in my role at Nottingham CityCare at such an important time.
“I am really looking forward to continuing work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver the best care for people using our services.
“My focus will be to build on quality improvement, transformation and preparing and leading us through our next inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).”
Nottingham CityCare was last inspected by the CQC in 2016 and is currently rated ‘outstanding’ overall.
Ms Douglas added: “I have had the privilege of meeting staff as well as patients, carers and their families in my role so far and I am excited about the opportunity to use their experience and feedback to really drive change.”
Registering as a nurse in 1988, Ms Douglas’ clinical background is in oncology and palliative care.
She has worked at senior levels across the NHS in a range of settings including hospital, community and mental health as well as the ambulance service.
Among her previous roles was director of nursing and quality at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
