Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2024 open for entries

The seventh annual Nursing Times Workforce Awards have been launched and are now open for submissions and nominations.

With workforce pressures continuing to negatively affect health and social care across most settings, it is vital to celebrate the individual, team and organisational contributions being made by nurses.

The Nursing Times Workforce Awards aim to shine a light on those excelling in nurse recruitment and retention, wellbeing and inclusion, plus many other areas linked to helping overcome the ongoing workforce challenge in health and social care.

Like previous years, we will be looking to highlight the great work of individuals, for example, through our categories for Nurse Manager of the Year and Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year.

In addition, we will be acknowledging the work of teams and organisations, with major awards for Workforce Team of the Year and Best UK Employer of the Year for Nursing Staff.

Meanwhile, this year, to acknowledge the vital importance of supporting and retaining early years nurses, we arere excited to introduce a new awards category dedicated to celebrating preceptees.

The Preceptee of the Year award will complement our existing categories for preceptors and preceptorship programmes, Preceptor of the Year and Preceptorship Programme of the Year.

With a total of 18 categories on offer, we’ll be rewarding the individuals, teams and organisations that go above and beyond and set new standards of excellence in their field.

Whether you’re doing brilliant work yourself or know of a project that deserves recognition, we encourage you to submit an entry or make a nomination.

The deadline for submissions to the 2024 Nursing Times Workforce Awards is midnight on Friday, July 5, 2024. But do not delay, start preparing your entry today.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of your colleagues and leaders while showcasing your innovative initiatives.

The awards ceremony itself will take place on Thursday, 28 November at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, where this year’s winners will be announced and they will receive their trophies.

The Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards itself was recognised with an award last year at the ‘oscars’ of the media world.

Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards was named winner of the Event of the Year (Business Media) category at the 2023 Professional Publishers Association Awards (PPAs).
