Calling all nurse alumni, nursing students, and healthcare enthusiasts! It’s time to recognize and celebrate the outstanding nursing schools that are shaping the future of healthcare across the United States. We are thrilled to announce the launch of the “Top Nursing School in Each State – Student Choice Awards” contest, where your voice will determine the champions!

 

Nursing education plays a pivotal role in producing skilled and compassionate healthcare providers. This contest aims to honor the nursing schools that excel in providing exceptional education, fostering innovation, and preparing nurses to make a positive impact on patients’ lives.

Voting Phase (state level): Cast your vote for the nursing school that you believe stands out as the best in your state. The voting phase will begin on September 7, 2023.

• State winners announced: 50 schools voted as the best nursing school in their state will progress to the final round of voting. 

Voting Phase (national level): Cast your vote for the nursing school that you believe stands out as the best in the United States. 

Spread the Word: Encourage fellow nursing professionals, students, and healthcare advocates to participate. Let’s rally together to honor these institutions that play a crucial role in shaping the future of nursing.

A Nurse.org panel of nurses reviewed every school in the U.S. and used a number of factors to rank the top 10 schools by state. Ranking factors include, 

• Reputation
• NCLEX pass rate
• Tuition
• Acceptance rate, when available
• Only ACEN or CCNE accredited schools are eligible 

Winners and Prizes

State level: The nursing school with the most votes in each state will be crowned the “Top Nursing School in [State] – Student Choice Award” and will receive,

• A digital badge to display online
• Named as the #1 best nursing school, chosen by students, in your state on Nurse.org (over 1 million visitors per month!)
• Shout-out on Nurse.org’s social media accounts (reaching over 30 million users per month!)
• Shout-out by Nurse Alice on the Ask Nurse Alice Podcast (Top 9 on Apple Podcast’s medical category)

National level: The nursing school with the most votes in the United States will receive,

•  A prestigious award plaque
• An exclusive article featuring your school on Nurse.org’s website (over 1 million visitors per month!)
• A feature in Nurse.org’s weekly newsletter (160,000 subscribers)

The Nurse.org $1,500 Healthcare Leaders scholarship is offered to students entering, or currently pursuing, an educational program related to nursing or medicine. No essay is required, enter here.
