Let’s face it: Last year’s survey painted quite the picture, here are some stand-out findings from last year’s report,
- 69% of us said we still love being a nurse (cue the collective, “Aw!”).
- 61% think nursing is a great career—because hey, nothing says “exciting job” like juggling life-and-death situations and call bells.
- 57% said they’d recommend this wild ride to new nurses in 2023.
As we dig a little further into the survey – it’s important to point out that,
- Staffing adequacy is still horrible —33% said staffing was adequate in 2023, compared to just 14% in 2022.
- More than half, precisely 57% – of nurses reported feeling burnt out last year.
- One nursing paycheck just isn’t cutting it these days for 29% of nurses who reported having a second form of income with most reporting they work per diem to make ends meet.
