AI Innovation Consortium Hosts Free LinkedIn Live Series on Responsible AI in Healthcare

The Nursing and AI Innovation Consortium is pleased to announce a two-part LinkedIn Live series featuring leaders from the consortium and the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI). Both sessions will stream on Nurse.org’s LinkedIn page at noon EDT and are designed to equip nurses with the practical knowledge needed to evaluate, deploy, and govern AI responsibly within healthcare systems.
Session 1 — Wednesday, May 27, at Noon EDT
Best Practice Guides and Testing & Evaluation Frameworks for Responsible AI
Merage Ghane, PhD, director of responsible AI at CHAI, will lead the opening conversation, with Rebecca Love, nurse innovator, author, and co-director of NAIIC, introducing and facilitating the discussion. In this session, nurses will learn best practices for safely evaluating, deploying, and scaling responsible AI in healthcare systems — gaining a framework-driven view of how emerging tools can be tested and validated before reaching the bedside.
Session 2 — Wednesday, June 10, at Noon EDT
Legal and Governance Considerations for Responsible AI Implementation
Brenton Hill, JD, MHA, head of operations and general counsel at CHAI, will headline the second session, with Jing Wang, dean of the FSU College of Nursing and NAIIC co-director, introducing and facilitating the session. This conversation will examine the key legal, regulatory, ethical, and governance considerations for implementing responsible AI in healthcare. Topics may include accountability, transparency, privacy, bias, risk management, organizational oversight, and practical strategies for responsible adoption.
As AI tools rapidly enter clinical workflows, nurses are uniquely positioned to shape how these technologies are introduced, evaluated, and governed. This series brings two of CHAI’s senior leaders directly into conversation with the nursing community to ensure that frontline expertise informs the next generation of AI in healthcare.
