Missing Nurse Found Dead in Car at Boston’s Logan Airport

Maggie Mbitu, a 31-year-old nurse from Massachusetts, was found dead in her vehicle at Boston’s Logan International Airport on Wednesday night, according to the Police and Suffolk County Attorney’s office. Mbitu was reported missing by her family on Monday after she failed to return home from her shift.

Suspect Believed to Have Fled the Country

Police have identified a suspect who they believe fled to Kenya shortly after Mbitu’s death. The suspect’s name and relationship to Mbitu have not yet been released. Authorities are coordinating with law enforcement in Kenya to locate the suspect.

Mbitu’s Car Found in Airport Parking Garage

Mbitu’s body was discovered in her own vehicle in the garage at Logan Airport, according to police reports. She was last seen leaving the hospital after her shift ended on Monday evening. When Mbitu did not return home that night, her family reported her missing. After a widespread search, her car was located at the airport parking garage, over 30 miles from her workplace and home.
