Nurse’s Hair Sets Record For “Longest Mullet” By The Guinness World Record
Tami Manis, a 58-year-old public health nurse from Knoxville, Tennessee, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the longest female mullet according to Guinness World Records officials. Manis has been meticulously growing and maintaining her mullet since February 1990. After over 32 years of growth, her iconic hairstyle now measures an astonishing 5 feet and 8 inches long, shattering the previous record by over 2 feet.
Growing The Longest Mullet
Manis has dedicated over half her life to growing her world record locks. “I’ve always loved having long hair ever since I was a little girl,” said Manis. “The mullet style just seemed like a fun and unique way to express myself while also paying homage to my Southern roots.” To keep her lengthy tresses healthy and strong, Manis uses a blend of coconut, argan, and jojoba oils and washes her hair only once a week.
Even after breaking the world record, Manis has no plans to cut her cherished mullet any time soon. “My mullet is a part of who I am, and I want to keep it going as long as possible,” said Manis. She hopes her story will inspire others to confidently express themselves in their own unique way. Manis will appear in the Guinness World Records 2024 book to showcase her record-breaking mullet for readers around the world.
